It is no longer considered viable to rush an enemy base with an ACU, as the counter to it is to simply build turrets under a factory shield. A latter update nerfed it’s military capacity and hence much of it is dependent upon research. When Supreme commander 2 was first released, the ACU was a formidable fighter in it’s own right.
